Te Mata Estate Gamay Noir 2024
Juicy, vibrant cherry and strawberry flavours. Light-bodied with soft tannins, it's playful and easy drinking any night of the week.
The grapes for the 2024 vintage were hand harvested between March 7th and April 2nd, 2024 from the Estate’s Woodthorpe Terraces vineyard, planted with the Gamay Noir à Jus Blanc grape variety. The unique ‘maceration carbonique’ fermentation was used for 65% of the grapes. The other 35% received a traditional, warm, red wine fermentation. The resulting wines completed their malolactic fermentation and were matured for eight weeks in seasoned French oak barrels, before blending and bottling.
