Felton Road Bannockburn Pinot Noir 2023
Awards/Reviews
Pinot Noir from The Elms and Cornish Point was hand-harvested and mostly destemmed. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in traditional open-top fermenters. Aged 13 months in French oak (30% new), then bottled unfiltered and unfined.
Agricultural Innovations
Felton Road uses an electric agricultural drone sprayer to apply organic fungicides and perform crop-monitoring via infrared sensors and terrain-following radar, thereby reducing diesel use (by about 18%) and soil compaction compared with traditional tractors.
BioGro Certified Organic
Felton Road follows biodynamic principles by treating the vineyard as a living ecosystem - using natural composts, lunar and seasonal cycles, and herbal preparations to nurture soil health, balance vine growth, and express the purest sense of place in their wines.
Collector Wines
Felton Road has earned collector status thanks to the remarkable ageworthiness of its wines - their balance, purity, and structure allow them to evolve beautifully over decades, revealing ever greater depth and complexity with time.
