Our Country
“For anybody who has visited New Zealand, you will understand what I mean when I say
that the colours there seem brighter, the personalities bigger and the energy
for life so great. I finally understood this “dialled up” expression I perceived in their wines was merely a translation of life in this truly beautiful place.”

Wine Regions
New Zealand is a small country with a remarkably wide climate range - and that’s exactly what makes its wines so distinctive.
Spanning over 1,600km from subtropical Northland to the alpine edges of Central Otago, its 10 main wine regions cover everything from warm, maritime zones, to cool, inland valleys shaped by snowmelt and schist.
Across more than 45,000 hectares of vineyards, over 25 grape varieties thrive in a landscape of microclimates and diverse soils. Thats what gives New Zealand wine its clarity, character, and sense of place.
From the stony heat of Hawke’s Bay to the glacial terraces of Central Otago, every region has a different story to tell. You’ll find everything from wild-ferment Chardonnay and vibrant Riesling to elegant Pinot Noir and structured Syrah, even the occasional skin-contact surprise.
New Zealand may be far away - but its wines are closer to nature than almost anywhere else.
