The wine is aged for 11 months in French oak barrels, which imparts subtle notes of vanilla and toast that complement the ripe fruit flavors of cherry, plum, and raspberry. The wine is smooth, with a well-balanced acidity and firm tannins.

Seresin Estate, located in Marlborough’s Wairau Valley, was founded by Michael Seresin in 1992. The vineyards are spread across the warm, stony valley floor, and up into the gentle slopes of the Omaka Valley to the south. Their specially chosen sites are planted with Pinot Noir, and Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinto Gris.

Certified BioGro organic and biodynamically farmed, the vineyards are rich in biodiversity. The estate’s winemaking approach is based on care in the vineyard, and minimal intervention in the winery, allowing the characteristics of the fruit and the season to emerge, and the wines to express a sense of time, with wines from each harvest subtly different from its predecessor.

The estate's distinctive handprint logo symbolizes the ‘handmade’ philosophy that guides their artisanal winemaking process.
