The standout dry Marlborough Sauvignon ‘Stylish, Full of Life’ that lasts much longer than most. It’s mouthwatering lemon, apple and gooseberry fruit with a flinty finish. Superb.

Named in Jancis Robinson MW, Whites for the 2024 festive season, in the Financial Times.

Awards/Reviews

Dog Point Vineyard is New Zealand's largest certified organic vineyard by Biogro NZ, with over 280 hectares farmed organically on the hill slopes of the Southern Valleys of Marlborough.

Its family owned and one of the oldest privately established vineyards, with the first plantings in the late 1970s by Ivan and Margaret Sutherland. Today, the next generation of the family runs the day-to-day operations.

They produce four wines including a Sauvignon Blanc, and three barrel fermented wines using natural (wild) yeasts including a Sauvignon Blanc fermented in older French oak barrels, a Chardonnay and a Pinot Noir. Their primary focus is producing wines of uncompromising quality that will cellar well.

The name Dog Point dates back to the days when dogs were the only means of protecting and managing sheep in the region.
