Two Rivers Saint Maur Sauvignon Blanc 2022

Two Rivers takes its name from the iconic rivers that feed the wine growing heart of Marlborough’s renowned Wairau and Awatere valleys.

It was in the Awatere Valley, that founder and winemaker David Clouston spent his childhood, and where his family has farmed for five generations. He now lives in the Wairau Valley, where he has made his home and his mark on the wine industry.

Two Rivers is celebrated for producing wines that balance Marlborough's intense fruit flavours with a more ‘European’ elegance and complexity. The estate sources fruit from carefully selected vineyard sites across the region, each contributing distinct characteristics to their Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Rosé wines.
Through a combination of traditional techniques and minimal intervention, they continue to produce premium wines for all occasions.

The fruit came from vineyards in the Southern Valleys, planted on friable loam over clay gravels. The grapes were hand-harvested, and lightly pressed, and the juice was naturally fermented and aged for 12-18 months on yeast lees in concrete egg tank and clay amphora. Unfined and unfiltered, with low sulphur, the wine was then aged in bottle for a further 14 months before release.
