Valli Gibbston Vineyard Pinot Noir 2022
Youthful, vibrant, slight reductive notes. Aromas of red cherries, dried cranberries and floral notes. Finishing with seductive waxy smooth mouthfeel.
Grapes were hand-harvested from the Gibbston vineyard. Approximately 20% whole bunches were included in the fermentation. The must underwent a maceration period of 23 days to extract desired colour, flavour, and tannins. The wine was aged for 11 months in French oak barrels, with 30% being new oak. It was bottled after crossflow filtration but without fining. Only 667 cases of this wine were made.
